Support for the Treatment of Baby of Heena Khan (29 Weeks Extreme Preterm)
Upakara Care Foundation humbly appeals for your support to save the life of a critically ill premature newborn currently admitted at Horizon Prime Hospital, Thane.
Baby of Heena Khan was urgently referred from Bilal Hospital, Mumbra due to Extreme Prematurity (29 weeks) and Very Low Birth Weight (1.1 kg). The newborn was born with severe Respiratory Distress Syndrome, requiring immediate stabilization.
Current Medical Condition
Birth at 29 weeks gestation
Birth weight: 1.1 kg
Diagnosed with Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS)
Received surfactant therapy
Initially managed on ventilator support
Currently on Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV)
Under continuous monitoring and treatment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
According to the NICU team, the baby will require a minimum of 60 days of intensive care, which includes:
Management of respiratory function
Gradual weaning from ventilation
Introduction and stabilization of feeding
Specialized nutritional support
Continuous monitoring for complications associated with prematurity
Estimated Cost of Treatment
The total projected cost for NICU care and respiratory support is approximately:
